Motor yacht Galileo G is a 55 meter (183ft) Perini Navi Group superyacht from the Vitruvius Series, designed in collaboration with Philippe Briand, according to Picchiotti Ice Class regulations for ABS Ice Class IB guidelines to easily reach the Arctic. Expedition yacht Galileo G (hull C.2156) was successfully delivered to her owner from the Picchiotti shipyard in La Spezia in 2011. The ice-class explorer yacht Galileo G offers efficiency, seaworthiness, robustness and sophisticated elegance. The hull C.2156 of the Galileo G yacht is made in a very thick reinforced steel to resist collisions with ice with the machinery and systems created to obtain so-called ´Winterization', and to operate safely in areas with very low temperatures.The yacht was built in accordance with MCA (Maritime Coastguard Agency) and LY2 (Large Commercial Yacht Code) requirements. Vitruvius 55 Galileo G yacht has a range of 9,000 miles at 11 knots, consuming less than 150,000 litres of fuel having efficient hull form and the fine water entry. Accommodation on board of the Picchiotti Vitruvius 55 explorer yacht GALILEO G is offered to 10 guests in one full beam owner's suite and 4 guest cabins.
